And the snapshots of my beautiful low-key springy weekend...
Friday night I went way down to the Village because I was promised the best EVER nachos... and they lived up to the hype. I was very proud of myself for making my first ever batch of guacamole that didn't use a powder mix and it was delicious (I used this recipe from Jacob at Culinary Culture.) A friend came up to the UWS and we spent some time in Central Park since the weather was so gorgeous. Once the sun started going down we left and since he'd never been to Riverside Park we walked the four avenues to see the sunset over New Jersey.
I feel lucky to live on the UWS. I love my neighborhood and the cozy feel it has. I enjoy taking advantage of being close to these two parks and able to relax in nature for a while. I like that I can walk to B&N, Whole Foods, the Guggenheim or Natural History museum, and Shake Shack :)
