I miss New York. I have been here three weeks now and I've yet to get acclimated to LA. The traffic is hard for me to handle, I'm getting too much food + not enough exercise, and I still haven't been able to really make much of anything. That last one has frustrated me to the point of tears. It's hard to that know you need to work and create something... but there is no inspiration or real motivation behind it. I just can't force myself to be creative and it really really stinks.
I have been productive, however, in laying in bed while playing Words with Friends. (I take way too much pleasure in winning, which shows how small my life has become...)
Today I got out of the apartment to walk down to MOCA (which was closed argh) and then decided to treat myself to lunch at Lemonade and stopped at the photobooth across the street in The Standard. Both of these things made me smile.
I have a giveaway to share today too, which makes it a very good day for all of us:
My dear friend Maggie has put together an awesome December Daily Photography Workshop and if you know Maggie, it is sure to be inspiring. You'll receive in email each day to help you stay on track with your December Daily and take photos each day. More information is here.
Please leave a comment if you would like to win a seat in Maggie's workshop! I can't wait to take this one myself and I know that it will be a surefire way to get some mojo back. Good luck!
