A few weeks ago I was hanging out in Williamsburg with a graphic designer friend who was saying "You know... that paper store with all the sketchbooks that's just up the street?" I certainly did not know and requested to go there immediately. And once I got there, I didn't want to leave.
That paper store is actually called Brooklyn Art Library and it currently houses the books from the Sketchbook Project. It's amazing. Lots of fantastic little vignettes set up around the store, vintage paper products like tags and bags, and a great collection of notebooks + art supplies.
I took Sarah there when she was in town and we found the sketchbook that the in-house design team at American Crafts had created for the Sketchbook Project. Below is a spread from Ann Marie.
Brooklyn. Art. Library. Those three words alone make my heart skip a beat, but when you add them all up together it equals a shop that will charm your pants right off and money right out of your pocket.
