I started putting together this mini album as a class but as I kept working on it, I was just having a good time adding in my own things so it turned out to work better as something to only share here on the blog.
I used an Amy Tangerine Cut + Paste Noted Daybook as the base. The Daybook albums are brilliant because you can add as little or as much as you want to them. I ended up taking some of the pages out, then some got a lot of embellishments and some got none. All of the patterned papers came from the Studio Calico Sundrifter 6x6 pad.
I used a lot of Kelly Purkey stamps and the Everything is Wonderful sticker sheet (this one is on clearance at Simon!) along with a couple different stencils.
The cover turned out great with the overlay as the first page and my calendar die cut adhered onto it. It's so cool that you can see the second page through it so I added a tone on tone (white on white is always one of my favorite things to do) with my numbers stencil. I used Claudine Hellmuth gesso to add a bit of texture with the stencil.
I added in a random envelope that just would have gone into the trash and used it to put a few photos inside. It's awesome that you can add in pretty much anything you want to the Daybooks.
Calendar die cut making another appearance in there. I love that thing.
Also the calendar stamp used right here. I added in some colorful numbers with my What's Your Number set.
This was such a fun album to put together and I love that it houses little random pieces of my life. It reminds me of the April TwentyTen Mini Album that I put together a few years ago, still love looking through that one. There are so many cool ways to document the pieces of every day life and I really enjoy switching it up here and there!
