I don't know why it took me so long to pop into Bakeri in Brooklyn. Williamsburg is a neighborhood I'd frequent often and I must've passed by a dozen times. Finally... finally... I went in. And now I can't wait to go back.
Bakeri serves the most delightful baked goods alongside coffee, soup, and sandwiches. Fresh bread baked every morning and word on the street is they even churn their own butter. All done in a blue uniform and handkerchief tied around their heads. Could it be any more charming? I think not.
As you can see it's a teeny space about the size of a shoebox, with a garden seating out back. A perfect place for that afternoon cup of coffee.
There's a new location in Greenpoint with the most beautiful wallpaper. I tried to visit and to my dismay they're closed on Mondays. I absolutely can't wait to go back.
