It's time again for me to move on Friday. Same city, new apartment. DREAM apartment, I should say. I think my karma finally kicked in because I landed an amazing little studio, on the best corner I could have picked on the Upper West Side.
After three years with a ratty old futon, I took Amanda's advice to "buy a grown-up couch" and found a perfect sectional on clearance at West Elm. I was very, very happy. And that has just opened a Pandora's box of decorating ideas. Going from a fairly spacious one bedroom to a studio has me a little anxious, so I've been pinning some inspiration.
I've been drawn to bookshelves, little pops of color, big black and white prints, and white walls. In my current apartment I painted most of the walls, but in the new one I'm excited to keep it mostly white (my couch and duvet) with little color bursts. Which, now that I think about it, was much like my first Project Life spread. Ha.
I can't wait for life in my new home.
