Scrapping trips is definitely one of my favorite things in life. I thought about putting my Hawaii trip last month into a mini album but instead was really low on time this week. Instead I created a spread to put into my Project Life album and I'm so excited about how it turned out. I used the April Messy Box kit from A Beautiful Mess - the colors couldn't have been more perfect!
Here's a video of my process for the spread:
And here's a look at the finished pages:
The only photos I took from the trip were Instagrams from my iPhone, so since they're already square I decided to cut down two 9x12 Studio Calico 2B page protectors. There's room for eight photos on each page, which is fantastic for trips.
I also cut down one of the Studio Calico 4B 9x12 page protectors which has all 3x4 pockets. From the trip, I had collected some really sweet notes that I wanted to include in the spread. After trimming them down, I stapled them into the page along with one of my boarding passes and some plastic hearts from the Messy Box.
One of my favorite things about this album is that I've got a few pages like this where I can see through to the next page (like with the Instax photos here.) It's a great way to make anything fit into the album. Anything you want, people! Boom.
I used my Hawaii stamp set along with my new Clearly Kelly stamps that are coming into my shop very soon. These stamp like a dream, I'm really excited for you to use them:
I also used the little roller stamp that was in the Messy Box. It was a little tricky to use since the words are so tiny, but it's really fun.
I also added washi tape from the Messy Box onto the spines of the page protectors. The colors just make me happy and even happier that they matched my Hawaii photos. I might try this again on another spread, I like how it turned out!
I hope you'll check out the video and thanks so much for continuing to watch. Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments. More of my 2015 Project Life album here.
